Apple Wood smoked and seared Rib Eyes
« Reply #-1 on: July 20, 2015, 11:14:35 PM »
Wendy and I were on our way back from the Dentists office this morning and we had to stop at Staters for some odds and ends.
We went to get a whole chicken to do in the electric smoker.
It was 9.99
They had Rib-eyes for 6.99 a lb
Wanna guess what we ended up with  8)

Did a 1/4 chimney starter with briqs and a couple chunks of apple for an indirect smoke (I don't know what happened to this camera shot)

The steaks were rubbed down with Stampede Steak Seasoning, they looked like this after 1/2 an hour of apple smoke

Got some fresh coals fired up and time to sear

Garlic Toast and a big salad (the salad is going to end up for breakfast tomorrow) The Smoke ate too much garlic bread :P :P

Money shot, every once in a while, I get it right  ;)
