That IS a heck of a price....Only concern I would have is the plastic gears....Some folks find they break - others seem to have no problem.

Maybe Nepas can enlighten us on those....?

Wife and I have a 5 lb. LEM and a 25 lb. Sausage Maker but we are thinking at this price a 15 lber might be nice to have also!

The single thing that discourages beginner sausage makers is TRYING to stuff sausage with a grinder/ stuffer combination! I know from experience it'll make you lose your religion!
The purchase of a 5lb vertical stuffer made all the difference in the world.

Gander used to sell LEM exclusive but have since started with their own brand called Guide Series.

I have found that most of the vertical U frame stuffers are made by 3 companies. LEM has metal gears as does one of the Guide stuffers.
I have made so much sausage that i went thru 3 poly sets of gears so said heck with it and went with the LEM metal gearing and with a water stuffer.

If you have a grinder like LEM or Cabelas you can stuff with it if you have the Cyclone auger stuffer tube. If you dont then you just have a grinder thats worthless as a stuffer. Same with a KA, Great for a grinder or meat mixer using the dough hook but sux as a stuffer.
