I'm leaving in a couple hours for my 32nd annual Elkhart Lake WI weeklong camping trip with the guys. So last night the girls and their husband and boyfriend came over for a small cookout.
I lightly browned a sliced onion, and a bunch of peppers. At the end added 3 T cider vinegar 3T sugar and a handful of pitted oil-cured black olives.This got dumped into a foil pan and the Italian sausages were set in the goodness. This was placed on hot Grill Grates for about 10 minutes and the bratwurst were placed on a "little more" grid on the cool side. After the 10 minutes were up the pan was slid under the brats until all sausages reached 145F. Then all went on the GG'sto finish. Served with fresh local sweetcorn and a few beverages. It was a nice send-off spending time with the kids!
