That's what threads are for, guys.  As for the flavor, fresh I didn't use much of the maple but it was good.  My oldest son said it smelled like breakfast LOL.  The liquid added to the stuff that was going in the fridge for leftovers worked really well.  Not overwhelming or "saucy" and just the right amount of maple sweetness.

What rub was it?

It was a base of Savor BBQ, but I doctored it up a little bit before applying (a very heavy coat - I should have taken a pic of it dry).
