Cured Meats & Food Preservation > Dehydrating
Plan for Sunday
GusRobin:
I wanted to put some habanero powder in a sauce I am experimenting with, so decided to make my own powder.
I don't have a dehydrator so I'll use my Bradley. Got some advice from Tommy (thanks), bought some peppers, and I'm ready to go.
Since I am doing this anyway, might as well make it worthwhile so I bought a few different peppers.
Starting in the lower left and going clockwise: poblano, jalapeno, long hot peppers, orange scotch bonnet habanero, red hot peppers.
I set up the Bradley tonight and will get up early and start the show. More to come.

THAT looks like a plan - look forward to seeing the results!
TMB:
Just remember when you grind them have a fan at your back so the dust does not blow into your noise ???

Or even WORSE your nose... ;) :D
Sorry, Tommy - couldn't resist...
Ka Honu:
I have no idea if it will be an issue but do you think there's a chance that the flavors of the different peppers will meld if they're dehydrated all together?
