Great lookin' ribs!
Now you have my attention...
How much charcoal did you use and how many times did you have to add charcoal?

just askin'...
I started with about 30 1/2 sized recycled coals from the last cook and lit five fresh on top of the recycled with a map gas torch. after a hour I dumped about twenty fresh on top of the still burning pile, let it burn off black smoke with lid off  and it lasted through out the cook. Lesson learned don't recycle on a new cookin experiment.
I might also add that I was fearful of a real sooty charcoal flavor with this tip top temp and the was not the case at all, it was real good in flavor and even next day . I did shut the lower vent completely so all air intake and exhaust was from the tip top temp.

That looks like it's one slick working device!  I am going to have to look into one of those.

Oh yeah, the c. s. ribs look good too!  :P

its not magnetic but the silicone seal keeps it put and it fits perfectly around the top vent. Forgot to mention the wind was blowing about 10-15 mph that day and it worked great.
