Great job.
I have 2 that I got free that I am working on, the first pictures are the craigslist pictures. I put the red head top on the one that works, the other needs a grate, and flavor bars

I have a Genesis that looks like this!  I know I purchased it prior to 1999, maybe around 1997?, in Hutchinson KS.  It has been used a lot over the years and rebuilt inside once.  I was planning to junk it when my MAK 2 arrives.  Now, I think maybe I should keep it for posterity or just in case I can't figure out how to get the MAK to work.

Keep your gasser. It will be handy for certain cooks - and it is the best way to clean the grill from your MAK. Put them in the Weber - with all burners on high  - close the lid and give them a couple of hours. When you come back to them, the build up will be nothing more than carbon and ash - easy to wipe off.

I use my gasser a lot in the winter & charcoal/ wood a lot when the weather is good.
The gas grill is a great finishing oven after about 6 hours of stoking the stick burner in the immortal words of the Right Reverand B.B. KING "The Thrill is Gone" & I almost always foil & finish on the gas grill.
