Watching Football Smoking Chickens Drinking Beer
« Reply #-1 on: November 15, 2015, 04:56:16 PM »
Mrs Hikerman is off on a family issue all day. So.....me and Bella are having Sunday our way!
At 6:00 am 2 - 3lb chickens went into a brine bath. The 3rd 3lb'er wouldn't fit in my tub so it got no swim!
The birds went on a 225F grill burning oak, hickory, cherry pellets about 1:00.  Should take about 4 hours. We'll see!
The one on left was brined and rubbed with Way Out West rub
The middle hen was brined and rubbed with Big Ron's In The House rub
And finally the hen to the right was not brined, but got S&P, and a bit of Fine Swine & Bovine.
These birds are for freezer meals in Winter.
I'll post finished pics when done.
Bears win 37 - 13 over soon to be LA Rams! 8)

David not trying to get your haunches up but.....down here a packers loss is as good as a Bears win! But when the rare occasions happen that packers lose and Bears win....that's cause for a celebration!  ;D

I lived in Racine for 10 years - the Packers / Bears feud is very real... I get it. Only thing worse today is if the Vikings win...  ??? ??? :'( :'( :'(

Gene,
I must tell you that I actually read the title to your post wrong.  I should have checked to see if this was in the Humor section.  I was looking for a "football-smoking chicken, drinking beer".  Imagine my surprise!
