Tri-tip for Pops Bday
« Reply #-1 on: October 14, 2012, 11:18:43 PM »
There's nothing better in this world than the love and respect one feels for their parents and what better way to say thank you to my old man on his birthday than to cook him a nice tri-tip dinner

Went to my local butcher shop and picked up a couple of choice tri-tips and some sausage also caught my eye, but just not any old sausage, but jalapeƱo chipotle sausage. Oh my that sausage blew me away, it was that good.

Also got to try out that Costco sweet mesquite rub which was very good and would recommend. Anyways, enough talk and on to the pictures.

Next year for his B-day you can hang the tri's in your PBC...but I don't think you will wait that long  ;)

Dad said it was one of the best tri-tips he has ever had the pleasure of eating.

Good Deal..remember..it does not have to be seasoned so you can fire it up right out of the box!!  The horseshoe stand is in the bottom of the barrel. I asked the owner why do they off the horseshoe stand as an accessory since it comes standard with the PBC. He replied that many new owners take their PBC with them and they forget the stands when they leave!!
