For all my Northern Climate friends
« Reply #-1 on: January 17, 2016, 07:15:47 PM »
So I just finished 16 days in a row working. Office plus a couple weekends working an exhibit at the Toronto International Boat show. I was tempted to order take out, but I really missed the smell of burning lump! It's 28 degrees and snowing today.. Scally don't ever let a little weather stop me!

Fired up the BGE

Had some seasoned strip steaks

Took about an hour to get blazing hot

3 and a half mins per side

Plated with Mac and cheese and sautéed mushrooms

I had one beer freeze on me while I was cooking but I must say.. Better than any take out! Now none of my Northern friends can say "it's too cold to bbq"

I'd suffer through some snow for that.

that's the way to do it....went snowmobiling at the cabin (Norther Wisc) over the weekend and tried to do some grilling but the gasser didn't feel like working at negative 18 deg.
