« Reply #-1 on: October 22, 2012, 10:21:55 PM »
wife was yelling at me about taking pics.  she was hungry.

just meatloaf in my cast iron and the kettle.

got a great color to the top of it.

cast iron meatloaf, yukon mashed potatoes, homemade mushroom gravy (from scratch.  red wine, beef stock, garlic and shrooms.  oh man it was good), salad and moo juice.

1st of 2 plates.  kids weren't home (ya!).

thanks for looking.   8)

Awesome Sparky! Couple of questions, about what temp was the lid thermometer doing during the cook? Did you add any wood for smoke? About how long did it take?  OK, that is 3 questions.

I got a Lodge cast iron loaf pan I am dying to try out.

i wasn't wearing my glasses so i don't know what temp it was.  i shut my bottle vents down to 1/3 open.  no smoke or wood.  just kingsford blue.  how long did it take?  was i suppose to be paying attention.  over 1/2 hour under 1 hour.  i guess.  i pulled it when it reached 165.  i'm sorry.  i don't really take notes or pay much attention to what i'm doing.  its about fun and feeding myself.  thats pretty much it.  i will pay more attention when i cook more.  it was very good though.
