Sunday supper on the BGE
« Reply #-1 on: April 10, 2016, 07:03:36 PM »
So I had second thoughts about cooking outside today, I'm guessing Mother Nature did not receive my message telling her it's spring and even us Canadians are sick of the cold and snow. It's cold windy and we are expecting a couple inches of snow, so I sucked it up.. Suited up in warm gear and lit up some lump in the BGE.
Started with some steaks seasoned with garlic salt and some fresh cracked pepper

Marinated some shrimp in Teriyaki sauce

Boiled and cooled some small potatoes and melted up some butter with garlic and fresh chopped chives

Smashed the taters with the side of my big knife and brushed with the butter mixture and topped with Parmesan

Put the potatoes into the oven at 375 for 30 mins. In the meantime I skewered up the shrimp

Started some curry mushrooms

BGE at this point was ridiculously hot, that thing quickly removes any hair you may have on your hands. Cooked the steaks for 3 mins a side and the shrimp for roughly a min per side.

Plated up

We braved the elements last night and did some rib-eyes as well....but our meal was no where close to your most excellent cook.
