Cow & Pig - Eternal Best Friends!

There is not a more dynamic duo on the planet I don't think. They just make a great couple don't they? You've got everyone's favorite - the Bacon Cheeseburger, that's seriously hard to top. I've got another pairing of these 2 best friends that I like also.

Let's open up RG's greatest hits and revisit a sammich I made not so long ago. Come on, don't be skeeered!

Once upon a time, I took a full packer brisket and I didn't want it to be lonely during its sleepover on the Big Steel Keg so invited his best friend over, pork butt. They seemed happy to see each other. They were all smiles as was I. I arranged them to sleep on the bunk bed in the Keg. After the niceties were out of the way and after setting up the hickory and apple campfire, I closed the lid and told them I'd be back later the next day and we'd have a sammich together :)

Since I didn't want to split'em up, I just took ample portions of both and piled them on some soft Texas Toast and gave them a little sauce and we had a nice meal together. Here's proof!

Not a clue. I did my usual routine. I've done several Cow & Pig sleepovers and the brisket and butt always have a smoke ring. The Keg, like all Kamados, makes it almost impossible to over smoke and the smoke ring will NEVER look like it does on a stick burner but this particular cook it just was real tiny. As you know, it has no bearing on the taste but we all like to see it.
