TGIF Pizza Night on the Pellet Grill
« Reply #-1 on: June 25, 2016, 07:41:38 AM »
After work I got a quick pizza dough recipe going. While it was rising got some yardwork done, had a refreshment.  Next up was cleaning up, vac'ing out the ashes etc in the grill and setting up for the big stone. Now time to preheat the grill and stone gradually.  Rolled out and assembled the pizza. Toppings were, home smoked mozzarella and colby-jack,  smoked sausage, onions, garlic, oil-cured black olives,  and fresh basil.  Once the grill/ stone were at 500F for 30 minutes,  the pizza went on. It wasn't long before we were enjoing it with a few New Glarus' Spotted Cows!  Very tasty Friday night fare! 8)

Looks good, Gene.  Love pizza!

That reminds me, I need to fire up my Uuni some time soon.  Maybe while my sister and her husband are in town.  Everyone can make their own.

I'm sure it was by the way that pizza pie looks!  I wish I could've been there to have a piece.

Same here! Pizzas are so good done on a pellet grill. Tastes just like a wood-fired oven.
