Beer Can Burgers on the PK
« Reply #-1 on: September 22, 2016, 10:42:58 PM »
I don't remember where I saw these first but when I did....i thought oh boy I gotta make these! I have seen the ZZTop of bbq, the BBQ Pit Boys do these and also on a NOLA cooking site.Whoever dreamed these up deserve a halo! :D  Earlier today I saw Mossy Mo did a super job with these awhile back too!
Okay 1/2 lb grnd chuck per burger. Formed around a beer can. Wrapped with bacon. And filled with fun!
In this case a hunk of smoked cheddar cheese, a pre-sauteed medley of onion, garlic, yellow pepper, and baby bellas.Onto the PK in-direct with a bunch of hickory wood pieces. After about 60 minutes it was time for slices of colby to melt, and when IT hit 160F they were pulled. And then a slice of provolone with chopped bacon and green onion to finish. OMG!!!!
Plated with a potato pak with peppers, onion, and more cheese!  :D
Without a doubt....these IMO are the ultimate big burgers!

You know, I didn't think these were diet burgers from the get-go so.....my nurse was monitoring my pulse rate and she so kindly offered to zap me using cables hooked up to my truck battery if she felt I needed pain/reviving! :D

Looks tasty but I think they would be better served without a bun and called something other than a burger. That said I'll take one!
