A couple of cooks from last week on the Akorn
« Reply #-1 on: October 29, 2016, 10:30:15 AM »
I landed a little fry cook gig to man the grill at the local Elks lodge and between that and photobucket.....I am just combining the pics......what in the heck is going on with Photobucket  >:(

Rubbed some ribs with Texas Bros BBQ rub and did them for 5 hours at 225

Really came out good, Sparky will like these  :)

I have found for shorter lower temp cooks, Kingsford really helps me achieve those lo steady temps

Next cook was stuffed Portabellos (stuffing and spinach) and some salmon laced with Texas Gold Rush

I thought I would play it safe and leave the diffuser in when using the planks, but that defeated the purpose.......oh well......always next time.......
