Smithfield Guinea Pig 2017 Matt Dalton Memorial

(1/2) > >>

jimsbarbecue:
I have posted a lot of photos on Facebook as it seems to be where everyone is now. All are on my smugmug site as usual.
Here are 10 to give you a little flavor of the event. Our fourth time at the Guinea Pig and we can't wait for the fifth one.
Sure wish there were more contest with this format and cost structure. Thanks to Smithfield and Snake River Farms for supporting and believing in this concept.
We Love this event it gives the average guy a chance to compete with a wide range of talent and compare where you fit in. Our goal is to turn in all our entries on time and then compare our scores with teams that have won, The Jack, The Royal, King of the Smoker,

Jim did you ever receive a package from me?

jimsbarbecue:
Yes I did. Thank you, I am trying to figure what it's job will be. It is to nice for charcoal. I think it will be used to hold wood chunks for smoking. Will post some photos soon.

 :D Most welcome!
When I saw it - I thought...that is too coincidental to ignore. I know who needs that. Have fun with it.

jimsbarbecue:
I do appreciate it and was taken back when I opened the box. This Saturday I am going to a cooking class done by Steph of Simply Marvelous BBQ. It is at the Woodshed in Orange Ca. There I plan on picking up some "Sharpe Gourmet Cooking Wood" for smoking
