Sunday Ribs on the RecTec
« Reply #-1 on: March 04, 2018, 10:42:15 PM »
Decided to make ribs today. The wife prefers BB, I like beef ribs. I slather them with mayo, add some salt, pepper, gunpowder and rib rub. Then put them in the RecTec at 245*. At about an hour in I spritzed them with some Corona.
Here they are after the first hour.

Spritzed them every half hour, and at 3 hours i wrapped them.

For the BB, i took a sheet of foil, added some Parkay margarine, honey, BBQ sauce, and brown sugar. Then added the BB face down. Double wrapped and back into the smoker.

The beef ribs I just sauced and double wrapped in butcher paper.

All done and plated with some baked beans and homemade slaw.

Not sure the pics are that good, but the food was excellent.
Why couldn't Noah have swatted the 2 mosquitoes?.

Looks real nice!   I need to try the mayo next set I do.   One of the guys here at work always uses mayo on his pork butts. Turns out really good.

I prefer beef ribs a little better too, but I'll gladly take some of each.

My Mom would always use mayo on fried chicken and it always was outstanding.
Love to cook and eat
