Decided to make ribs today. The wife likes BBs and I decided to make short ribs for me. I bought 3 short ribs before they were cut.
I lathered all the ribs with mayo, and then added salt, pepper, gunpowder and garlic powder.
Here they are in the RecTec:
Put in at 230* for 2 hours with extra smoke. Meanwhile I mixed a paste consisting of tomato paste, herbs, Worcestershire sauce, paprika and apple cider vinegar.
Rubbed the paste on the short ribs.

I then used a braze that High On Smoke posted a while back, broth and Worcestershire sauce and covered. Put it back in the RecTec for another couple of hours.
Meantime the BBs were pulled after 3 hours, put in foil on top of Parkay, honey, BBQ sauce, and brown sugar. Wrapped tight and back on the smoker. Sorry no pics for these steps.
Pulled the BBs after 1.5 hours and removed from foil. Basted with the juice and some BBQ sauce and back in. The meat was off the bone tender so I had to put it on foil to be able to put in the smoker.
Here are the short ribs after the brazing,

The short ribs came out fantastic and will probably be the way I cook them from now on.
