I believe its American made. Obviously not stainless steel.
Tee, Smoke; with its pellet attachment, would you have given this one a thought over a MAK?
Nope. I like a pit that does one thing very well. It seems like these "hybrids" have concessions and trade offs. Just my 2 cents....
That is understandable. I can see this cooker fill a very specific niche, and do it well. It doesn't have that classic appearance to become a backyard feature like a MAK 2 Star or Weber Genesis. Like you said, since its a jack of all trades and master of none, I do really see this being a competition powerhouse.
The niche I see this being great for is catering. It is small, compact, and maneuverable; yet it has a huge cooking capacity. Take it from site to site. Those wheels will accommodate wide array of terrain and locations. The fuel source versatility will let you choose what is best with what is available.
The Bar-Be-Cube could be a money maker. You can probably cater to 75-130 people. It can hold:
12 butts
12 briskets
20 St. Louis
25 baby backs
20 pork loins
30 half, 18 whole chickens
140 chicken pieces
200 sausage links
9 turkey breasts
6 whole turkeys
