Hi, I am a new member here and have been cooking with charcoal all my life. I have been wanting to add a pellet grill to my setup and have done a lot of research on which one to get. I was going to wait until next spring to get one but came across a deal that I couldn't pass up. I just ordered an Traeger Timberline 1300 today and should have it soon. I am really looking forward to learning how to use my new pellet grill.

Welcome Earl, from all of us here in middle Georgia.
I'm pretty new to pelletizing, too, and find a lot of help on this forum.

Welcome from the deep South, Dothan, Alabama. I have not joined the pellet crowd yet, partly because I am so old and set in my ways and partly economics. I can afford another cooker, but divorce lawyers are awfully expensive. I do take different pellets and put them in foil with a few holes poked in it and put on my charcoal Weber, does that count? Looking forward to seeing your cooks.

I can understand this. If you guys see a big mushroom cloud coming from VA, it means my wife found out about the order. I told her I was getting a pellet grill but she really didn't believe me.

Yeah!! Got my shipping notice from Traeger. My grill should be here Tuesday, now that is some good service. I can't wait to start cooking on this grill.
