Ribs and Butt on the Copperhead
« Reply #-1 on: January 31, 2019, 04:09:07 PM »
Hard to pass up that amount of real estate on markdown (at a Walmart 1 mile from home) to $109.  The butt is wrapped and still in the cooker, but the St. Louis cut spareribs made it out for lunch.  Besides, there is nothing impressive about a picture of a whole pork butt or even the pulled.

Wow!  That is one heck of a deal you got!  I wouldn't mind a vertical pellet smoker in my arsenal.

This cooker must be their smoker version, not a pellet  grill which looks very similar??  I think that because of the great price difference between the smoker and the pellet grill.  If I am right, you still got a very good deal in my humble opinion.

I wondered the same thing so I looked it up. The hopper is in the back on those units.

Yeah, the hopper is on the back and hold 60lb of pellets.  That little black strip to the rear that you can see in the picture is actually a window to see the remaining pellets.  If you go to their website, the 5 series and the Coppperhead are thw same thing just the Copperhead is the name it is sold by at WM.  Take a look at brickseek, as there are still a few out in the wild at the markdown price.  Heck of a cooker to be honest.  Makes a great big a$$ warming box too. :-)

Wow, I stand corrected.  With that low price, you really got a deal.  Do you have the UPC or SKU numbers to check on brickseek?

Billy:  Thanks for the info.  Some Walmarts in my area had them for that low price, but they are now out of stock.  It helps to look on Brickseek; I found 40# bags if pellets for $5 awhile back.
