Lumber Jack pellets on sale at Dick's

If you're so inclined, Dick's Sporting Goods is running a "buy one get one half-off" sale on LumberJack pellets. If you order online, they add an oversized shipping surcharge, but if you get to $49 or more, they knock about twenty bucks off the shipping. Worked out to about $13 per 20 lb bag for me. (I think there's a glitch on their website, because some flavors don't add the surcharge, like the Fruitwood Blend and the 100% Hickory in my case).

They had a sale a while back with free shipping over $49. I ordered 7 of the 20lb bags and the idiots shipped them to me in 7 boxes via UPS.  Ordered Competition and Fruitwood blends. I got them for like $12 a bag shipped. They had to have lost money on that deal.

Fortunately for me I have a Rural King close by that sells Lumberjack pellets at $8.99 for a 20 lb. bag.

You are 100% right, Dicks has lost a lot of business. The business decision has really hurt them. Will lobs ever learn.
