I fired up one of the pellet grills and grilled up some chicken breasts that I did a dry marinade with using Simply Marvelous Season All. Let them hang out in the fridge for about 6 hours with the rub doing it's thing. While that was happening, I decided to make some brioche buns from scratch. So I did! My son made some Whiskey sauce and let it simmer. It's good stuff, if you've ever eaten the Jack Daniels sauce at TGI Fridays, it's exactly that (one of his first jobs, knows the recipe by heart, lol)
Once the buns were baked, I put some thick cut pepper bacon on a rack and put it in the oven to bake while my wife made some onion rings. While all of that was rolling I grilled the chicken and glazed 2 of the breasts toward the end of cooking. My wife doesn't like the whiskey glaze. She's weird.
I toasted the fresh baked buns on the grill as well. Assembled mine with colby jack (on the still hot chicken), red onion slivers, tomato, lettuce, bacon and some more of that sauce. Was it good? Incredibly. What was best was that I had help bringing it all together!
No pics of the chicken on the grill, I left my phone upstairs
