Bought a used BGE from a buddy and have been trying it out on some ribs and chicken. Tonight went for a reverse seared porterhouse.
Love to cook and eat

The way I see it is that there are two steaks on the cooker but only one sliced & served. He must have sent the other one to either you or me and, in the Christmas spirit, I'm hoping it's not you (but I'll think of you while I'm enjoying it).

Jus' sayin'...

Thanks All. Ka Honu, keep checking that mailbox.  :)

Still trying to get the heat screaming hot. Got it up to 500-550 but would have rather gotten it over 650.
Not sure I got the method down yet for that.

Ka Honu, keep checking that mailbox.

Apparently I was too late.

I went out to lunch today and when I got home there was a large pitbull napping next to my recently destroyed mailbox. Next time you do a cook like that, we'll have to talk about packaging the excess.

Thanks for trying, though.
