New to the forum, but been cookin' awhile...
« Reply #-1 on: February 22, 2013, 09:08:23 PM »
....always searching for the perfect Q'.
Been cooking KCBS contests off and on since 1999 as Firebreathers Barbecue. We cooked on stick/charcoal pits until about two years ago. I now have  (3) pellet cookers, a Traeger Executive, Green Mountain and ProSmoker 100SS. We use the ProSmoker & Traeger at contests.
The ProSmoker is getting an upgrade to a Savannah Stoker controller this weekend and a Rock's Stoker WiFi next week. I look forward to getting a little sleep at contests, but expect that I may need to hire a teenager to help me set up the Stoker WiFi......
Any advice is gratefully accepted, whether it involves computers or BBQ.

Welcome aboard PepperMike, Sounds like you have some neat tools!!
Well, some would say that they aren't tools... but Big Boy's TOYS... Either way, I like my toys...errrr..TOOLS.
I have a 'thing' about temperature control. We had great success with my GoodOne Model 60, but I'm getting too old to stay up half the night to babysit the firebox.... even with a GURU, there's always something to mess with on a stick burner.
I'm really looking forward to controlling the cooker through my laptop
