Green Ghost
« Reply #-1 on: March 22, 2013, 05:56:37 PM »
welp, we've been looking for a cabin in the mountains.  so far we have rejected over 43 properties.  in our search I always look to see what ppl are bbqing w/.  this one cabin had a old weber.  real old.  I asked if i could buy it.  I have a thing for old webers.  well, please give a warm welcome to the Green Ghost.

she looks pretty good.  nice insides too.

got the Green Ghost some new grates (old ones were rusted).

i thought the GG was a 60's weber kettle.  nope.  my wife dated her w/ the patent # and the lime green color.  the Green Ghost is a '73 weber built in early '74.  kinda cool.

thanks for looking.

That looks like my old mid-70's Weber, except mine was black. I lile that ash catcher design better than the one they have on the Silver kettles now. Good score Sparky.

I've seen them.  the handle isn't a 1 hole screw.  its 2 rivets on it.  real old school.
