Sandman, if you are going to smoke bacon you absolutely don't need a PID for a Bradley.  A digital 4 rack works great. 
For sausage, that's a different story.  You need a tighter temp control device.  I had the Auber Dual Probe PID that I was too stupid to figure out how to program.  Had too many "codes" and stuff for me.  I sold it after 3 years still in the box and bought a BBQ Guru DigiQ DX2 with the Power Raptor.  First time using it with the Bradley Digital the clouds parted, the sun shone brightly and I heard angels sing.  Super easy to use.


You do what you think you need to do.

Well I ended up getting the 6 rack with the controller Muebe recomended. Now I just have to wait for it to show up. ;D Thanks for all the help.

Any of the Bradley smokers work well. Just learn how they operate and you wont be disappointed.

I have a fan and heat shroud in mine. Heat shroud sits on the bottom rack support.

I have that heat shroud in mine just don't have the fan yet
