Hub:
Who said there's no competitions in the winter ???????

Last weekend I had the honor of cooking with Uncle Chet's -- head cook Chad Renfro out of Jefferson, Georgia in this great little competition at Brasstown Valley Resort in the north Georgia mountains.  Got 12th in chicken, 3rd in ribs, 6th in pork and 11th in brisket for a 5th place finish overall out of 25.  Had a ball (the weather was pretty mild for January) and got in my qualifying cook for my MCJ.

Chad's cooking rig is a tandem axle trailer with hot and cold running water, air cond. & heat, satellite TV, generator, refrigerator, stainless steel counters and great lighting plus an FEC-100 and an FEC-120.  Yep, that was really roughing it  ;)

I know you had fun.  When do you start hinting to the wife that you want/need a cook trailer?  I'll go cook with you.

Hub, congratulations on a good showing. That description of the cooking rig sounds as if ya'll were really "roughing it". I wish I could "rough it" that way.
