Smoking Ribs on the gasser

Pellet tube smoker on one end , 1 burner on other end.
St. Louis ribs above, temp about 250F.

That is seasoning, thermal protection, and flavor! Don't clean it ;)

They cooked 4 hours on indirect & finished on direct heat.
Mild smoke flavor , & very tasty.

Sav is correct!
My grates were porceloin coated cast iron , but after 7 years the coating started coming off ???
Now in the process of seasoning the grates, simple spraying of canola not enough.

Ribs were good, as good as cooked over charcoal or wood......NO :-\
Wife is getting appt in NOLA, big gasser @ complex & since ill be there a lot I'm working on making my gas cooking skills better!

They looks awesome nice job!
We do ribs in a gasser at my moms house. As stated above, you don't get the flavor,  but you can get the tenderness  you want by cooking them in indirect heat  and also foiling just like you would in any other type of cooker.
