Ribs, Tips and Wangs..
« Reply #-1 on: February 05, 2012, 08:50:43 PM »
I'm trying a new lens out, forgive any blurry shots as it is manual focus, and I"m not..

Big meaty loin back, rubbed with CT and Head Country.   On the MAK at 255°.

Also grabbed 2 tri-tips out of the freezer.   The players.

In the Traeger at 250°.

Couple hours into the rib cook.

Spritz/flip.

TTs are done.  (well, the Thermapen was reading 140°)

Toss on some jumbo wings, soaked in Smoke On Wheels BBQ Marinade.

Meanwhile, back on the MAK..

Oh yeah.

Pull the wings...   It's game time.

After the graze fest..

Three of us split a case of tri-tips at a butcher shop in Paducah, KY of all places..   I think they were around 3.50 a pound.
We got 3 more dinner servings out of that rack of ribs last night, and there is still 3 bones left! (and 2 big wing portions)

The ribs that just keep on giving....
