What does Smoke have for supper when he is left alone?

Y'all should know this one by now  ;)

Steak, taters and beer  8)

Grabbed a Sutton & Dodge Rib Eye from Target on the way home from work and grabbed some taters from the freezer.

Seasoned with Jim Baldridges Secret Seasoning (this is moving very quickly to the top of my rub list)


Was gonna use grill grates but there is something about that cast iron griddle from Weber......


Call me crazy, but those Sutton & Dodge steaks are real tender and tasty.....

Looks really tasty, and I couldn't agree more about cast iron and searing.  The crust that develops using cast iron is something special  ;)

Awesome Steak Smoke!! They didn't have Milwaukie's best premium in my era of MB but had my share of their standard beer ;)

 My oldest son knows more about beer than most folk. He drinks beers I have never dreamed existed. He brews his own beer. But his ole Dad just loves cheap American beer.....go figure....... ;)

Hey Smoke - I'm not a beer expert (although I HAVE sampled more than a few) and typically prefer my Guiness. But your comment about cheap American brews made me smile as I remembered college days. There was a really cheap beer - Fox Deluxe - it came in returnable bottles. When we bought a case we could return the bottles and the net cost was only a few bucks! As I recall, it wasn't a bad brew - but that was 30 some years ago and it was beer... so who knows?  ::) ::) 8)
