The cabin looks pristine, sparky; I especially like the honey color of the stained wood

The pork is equally impressive - the pic with the meat and juice in the foil had me salivating  ;)

Words cannot explain how bad I hate painting, but I'd be over if I got paid in that food.

Looks good buddy, I think the next time my casa needs painting I will have to do it myself. Its expensive to have someone do it here where Im at.

A few years ago I took vacation time to paint my house myself after getting a quote from a professional. I bought a sprayer and the paint for a lot less than what they were going to charge. It turned out ok. First 3 days was all prep work. Pressure washing the house. Filling the cracks with silicone. Then taping everything off. I hand painted the trim and sprayed the stucco. Used Dunn Edwards paint.

Would I ever do it again.... No way! ???

I just had my (well hopefully soon my house) house painted. A neighbors friend did the painting and he insisted on only using Dunn Edwards paint. That paint is expensive but he refused to use any other brand.

I hear ya  ;)  I had two guys take two days.  On the third day they came back to touch up anything that I thought was not up to par, a spot here and there. They did do a good job but. But if it took both of them a couple days, I cant imagine how long it would have taken me by myself. Sometimes trying to save a buck or a lot of bucks  :D is not worth the time and headache.

Smoke Dunn Edwards is more expensive but you actually save money because it will cover in one coat what cheaper paint would take in two coats. Sometimes you need to spend more to save ;)
