My Wife's Traeger
« Reply #-1 on: September 05, 2013, 01:01:56 AM »
These were taken a while ago (March of 2012, before I seriously got into smokin'), but illustrates how SWMBO might be convinced to lean toward outdoor cooking.  Out of the blue, my sweetie Called me from Costo and said that they had one of the traveling shows illustrating a pellet cooker [what's that, I thought...] She explained, and even though I did not fully understand, I said "Go for it sweetie!;D  "... bring the truck!" she said

here she is with her new toy

A very light dusting of rub (I didn't know any better back then.  I could make tender ribs, but they were not full of flavor)

After a couple of hours of smoke, into the foil, and then into the indoor oven to finish at 300F

May not be the best ribs, but butter tender (fall off the bone... I know, not competition style, but I like 'em anyway  ;D)

My first pellet grill was also a Traeger. Mine was a junior. Got me into pellet grills and I liked them so much I bought a Memphis.

My junior gave me a lot of great cooks and after a year I ended up selling it for a little more than half for what I paid for it ;)

I love my Treager and use it all the time. I use it to smoke, grill and bake and now use it more than my inside stove. Don

I love my Traeger Texas, I got 5 lbs of cheese cold smoking in it right now  ;)  Had it right at a year now, still like the Weber charcoal once in a while but if I could only have one grill it would be the Traeger.

lol, because the only competitors would be me and the missus, I'd not be a winner in that one no matter how it turned out
