I like that!

High tech meets traditional cooking. Besides it is very helpful. I find that by monitoring temperature with the Maverick remote, that it benefits me to watch the rise and fall of temperature. On a wood smoker if there is a rise in temperature, you adjust the airflow. If the temperature declines, it may be air flow or ad more fuel.

These units are great. You will really enjoy this.

I really like the backlit feature... it only turns on when the ambient light is low.

Haven't tried the Blu yet but it sounds interesting.

Also got a surface probe Thermapen but it's application is pretty limited I think.

I really like the ChefAlarm... much better than the "Polder" type thermometers.
