Four "Labor of Love" Racks of Ribs
« Reply #-1 on: December 02, 2011, 12:37:00 AM »
I went to the store and picked up four racks of baby backs for my Labor Day cook that were on sale. Each rack was seasoned differently.

The first rack was seasoned with "Sweet Heat" BBQ Seasoning and then brushed with John Boy & Billy's Grilling Sauce...

Next was Jan's Rub...

A 50/50 mix of BAMA Rub and Gunpowder Rub...

And lastly a mix of Tex Blair's Anything Rub sample and the last of my Billy Bob Que's Butt Rub...

All plastic wrapped for the stay in the fridge...

Into the Traeger at 225F for 2 hours with a 50/50 Apple and Maple Bear Mountain Pellet mix. I also packed the Smoke Daddy with Hickory chips and ran it for the first  2 hours...

After 2 hours I pulled out the racks. Now time for some foil love...

The rack brushed with John Boy was coated with more grilling sauce and then foiled..

Back into the Traeger at 250F for 2 more hours...

And all done...

All plated with Deviled Egg Potato Salad, Seafood Salad, Garlic Cheese Bread and there was a Cesar Salad(not pictured) ;D

Mike, those ribs do look delicious, and normally I would like to eat a few of your leftovers, but since they are 4 years old, I think that they are probably all ready eaten.

Bones look outstanding, Mike.  Are you practicing for a rib challenge with Sparky?

Wow sounds like I died lol

Yes I have not been cooking alot. But then again I am also down to 155lbs and been able to maintain that weight for months.

I plan on cooking more again once work slows down
