Spring Cleanup
« Reply #-1 on: March 08, 2014, 04:45:21 PM »

First day it's been above freezing for sometime (it was 45 degrees today but more snow coming next week) so I was time to clean some of the gear...

Ash removed from the Yoder, grates cleaned, Grill Grates cleaned

Grates oiled... drip pan installed... grease bucket relined... ready to go!

Old lump taken out of the Grill Dome Infinity... Ashes removed with the shop vac

Broilmaster burners cleaned, flavorizer screen cleaned, debris removed

Just need to oil the grates and it's ready for the season! (Not bad for a 12-year-old gasser.)

I find cleaning my rig kind of cathartic.  I don't go too crazy on it, but it still feels nice to baby your gear every once in a while.

Just got mine cleaned up about a week ago. Well as clean as I want it, not too overly concerned
except for some of the gunky stuff.  ;)

That's got to be a good feeling knowing everything is ready to go for some serious cooking.

I need to devote at least a whole day to "spring cleaning" my cookers and cookshack area.  It will not be today, however -- its barely above freezing, raining and mighty dismal  >:(

Had some good weather so it was time...

Anything over freezing is time to clean the gear...

But the temps went to 20 degrees F today!!
