Mixed Grill Tonight
« Reply #-1 on: April 07, 2014, 07:00:25 PM »
FINALLY.....Nice weather. Sun is shining, and Pappy wants to light some charcoal.....been way too long.

Marinaded some wings in Soy Very sauce. Then hit with John Henry Sugar Maple rub. Cooked on the Weber Performer with a chunk of pecan. These came out really good.

Had some naan bread, some chicken. BBQ Chicken pizza time. First time I made a pizza on my Weber. Will not be the last time.

Oh yeah. Found a chicken in the fridge that needed to be cooked. Still had plenty of heat on the Weber. Spatchcocked the bird and put lemon pepper mayo under the skin and on the skin.

Fridge is empty! Just a great sunny day and around 55 degrees. Just perfect for me.

That's a very creative mixed grill  ;D

This is one of my favorite things to do.  A few years back there was a grocery store I frequented that had a discount bin for meat that was on its last sell by date -- always at least 50% off.  Lots of interesting combinations came out of there.
