Looks really neglected to me, personally I'd pass on it, but maybe someone that is into a restoration project might like it.

Is the pot ruined if the ceramic on the outside is damaged? The frame isnt an issue,my BIL could take care of that without issue...

As long as the egg is not cracked it should work. Any hairline cracks and she is done!

Like Cajun said it looks to have been very neglected!

I just wonder if the restoration costs will still make it a great value.

If you can get exact dimensions see if BBE replacement grills and fire boxes fit. If it's an original Komodo 1960's you may have problems.

Its more than a 2 hour drive just to look,going to pass.
