Smoked Hot Italian Sausage and Smashed Potatoes
« Reply #-1 on: May 24, 2014, 10:30:06 PM »
It was a yardwork day here today. So wanted something easy for dinner. Had a package of hot Italian links which I smoked on the pellet grill at 150F for about an hour. Meanwhile I took 4 red potatoes, boiled til almost cooked thru, smashed them, and transferred to a cast iron pan with butter. Seasoned them up cranked the grill up to 400F, put them on next to the Grill Grates which were preheating. Sausages went on GG's to finish while the potatoes crisped up, diced rib tips and cheese topped the taters. All the while our food was cooking Bella insisted on playing fetch until she was pooped!  Dinner was served with a nice garden salad and several bottles of Summer Helles. A nice finish to a perfect day that was sunny and 75F!  8)   Cheers!
