CaptJack:  How do you keep that SRG grate so clean?  I try to clean mine with Oven Easy Off and never get it as clean as yours.

Why would you use oven cleaner on GrillGrates?  It states right in the user guide: 2 Do not use oven cleaner or other caustic cleaners that can pit and tarnish.

I do not use Oven Cleaner on Grill Grates, I used it on the SRG grill grate which is stainless.  You probably find as I do, that Grill Grates work real good just by scraping them off when hot.  I have starting using them more and more on all my grills, also on the flat side.  They are not cheap but well worth the price.

Oops my bad, I misread and thought you were using oven cleaner on the GrillGrates product.  Yes, you are right about just scraping them off, I do the same thing, my GG's are as black as the Weber I use them on.  ;)

SRG grill on a OldSmokey

the grill attachment for the CharBroil SRG- SmokerRoasterGrill
re-purposed as a pseudo GrillGrate on the OldSmokey, set up for grilling
this will give you almost as much flare-up protection from fatty, dripping meat
that the GrillGrates give you

I have many grills and have never used the grill attachment for my SRG
looking at David's steak cook on his CB Bistro gave me the idea

You can tell that grate has never been use, to dang shiny  ???   Season that puppy
