I am going to give all of you a peer into what makes Tommy tick:
His Dad was an engineer at NASA - and Tommy is a highly specialized auto technician that only works on Honda transmissions.
So - there is a genetic predisposition he has to make anything work better than it did originally. It is like something he just can't stop. Kind of like a very positive form of OCD.
So while you and I typically look at our grills and are thankful when they work - are mad when they don't - Tommy looks at them as to
how they work and then
how to make them work betterI can tell you that there are some things that he did to Charbroil products that just mysteriously started appearing as "product up-dates"
