Sunday is my football day. I loaded up the PBC with a chicken cut in half & a pork roast in the 9lbs range. My wife injected the chicken and seasoned it up. Saturday night we seasoned the roast with yellow mustard, Memphis Dixie dust& Cabella's Baby Back Rub. Let it sit overnight in the fridge. After 3 hours took the chicken off, shredded it for snacks later.(http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/ag115/debbyolin/IMG_1978_zps69f76d67.jpg) (http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/debbyolin/media/IMG_1978_zps69f76d67.jpg.html)
Continued cooking the roast. After about 4 hours took it off and then wrapped it in foil with some Tennessee Red Sauce, And put it back into the PBC till it got to 200 degree's.(http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/ag115/debbyolin/IMG_1981_zps094caa16.jpg) (http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/debbyolin/media/IMG_1981_zps094caa16.jpg.html)
shredded it and mixed it up with the juices that were in the foil. (http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/ag115/debbyolin/IMG_1982_zps465646e8.jpg) (http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/debbyolin/media/IMG_1982_zps465646e8.jpg.html)
this was a very tender, juicy & flavorful roast. The PBC seems to make whatever I cook in it taste good. It is a easy cooker to use.(http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/ag115/debbyolin/IMG_1985_zpsc7545bec.jpg) (http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/debbyolin/media/IMG_1985_zpsc7545bec.jpg.html)

Very nice! Looks like a great football day. You've got the hang of that PBC.
-
PBC is a great cooker!
Food looks excellent!

Was the pork smoky enough for your taste? I'm thinking of trying it but wondering whether it will get enough smoky taste without "help" (from an A-Maze-N smoker or something).
-
Turtle it gets a charcoal flavor. If you add some wood chunks it might give you the smokey taste you desire. Just make sure to soak those wood chunks overnight ;)
That is some great looking food coming off that PBC!
-
Most definitely some delicious looking food from that PBC!

Just make sure to soak those wood chunks overnight...
No worries - I keep a pile of wet wood in the garage at all times in case I get an urge to smoke with it.
Well it's not really a pile; it's more like a single grain of sawdust by the garage door that I never swept up. It gets damp sometimes when it rains too much. Been there for several years now. Haven't had to "restock" yet.

That is some great looking yardbird.
I haven't soaked my wood since the turtle showed me the light over on SOTG 8)

That's some fine looking eats, The PBC rocks!!!

I really like the way the barrel cooks a chicken.
Absolutely Deb's most favoritest way for me to cook a yardbird.
I have yet to cook a butt therein, but you certainly show how well it can be done.

That's a good looking plate of food - wouldn't turn that down
