Angus RibEye's and Asparagus on the Bullseye
« Reply #-1 on: June 08, 2021, 10:12:09 AM »
I rubbed the steaks with garlic olive oil and seasoned them with Kinders Buttery Steakhouse seasoning. For the asparagus, i put them in a ziplock with olive oil, lots of garlic, and Lowrys seasoning salt.
I preheated the bullseye on Riot and put the steak on when it hit about 600 and turned it down to 500, I cooked the steaks for about 4 1/2 minutes a side.
When the steaks were done I put the asparagus on and cooked until slightly tender, about 8 minutes or so.

Thanks.  Yes it can do low and slow.  But it does cooker hotter than temp readout.
When I put the Bull on 180 it stays at 180.
When I put the Bullseye on 180 it is closer to 200, but definitely low enough to do low and slow and I was impressed with the amount of smoke it produces.
I am going to have to try a low and slow cook, such as ribs or something else, and see how they turn out.
I am impressed everytime I turn it on, how quick it can get to 700 if you want it to.

I added a pizza stone on the heat deflector to help slow things down a little.  It works pretty well. I remove it for faster cooks which the Bullseye is very good at.

Great Idea, what size stone, did you happen to get it online?
