Title: Traeger Grilled Rib-Eyes
Post by: muebe on December 03, 2011, 12:02:17 PM
I had a couple of Rib-Eyes and some corn to grill on the Traeger. The corn was shucked, basted with unsalted butter, sugar, and hickory smoked salt. Then tightly wrapped in foil and cooked on the Traeger at 375F for 40 minutes with Bear Mountain mix of apple and hickory(50/50). The Rib-Eyes went for a trip in the food saver vacuum marinade canister while being soaked in Soy Vay Very Very Terayaki marinade. Then I pulled the corn and flipped the auger override switch I just installed. It can supply PID power or direct power to the auger. This time I had it plugged into straight power. I waited until the grill temps got close to 500F(450F is the normal limit) and dropped the Rib-Eyes on the grill. I gave them a sear for a about 4 minutes on each side. Then they were topped with mushrooms marinated in balsamic vinegar and melted blu cheese. Served with a salad and jalapeno cheese bread ;D
