New Moderators!!!
« Reply #-1 on: April 30, 2013, 05:39:29 PM »
Some of y'all may have notice Tim has added a thread with Char Broil Equipment as the heading.   Tommy, aka TMB, and myself are listed as moderators.  I need to tell y'all how this came about.  You see, Tim got a letter from the yankee government in Washington, DC which said,

"Dear Mr Tucker,  We here in the government, who are in charge of monitoring the actions of people such as yourself, have noticed your website, Letstalkbbq, has reached a certain level of quality and growth that it requires some corrective actions on your part.  Specifically,  you have appointed and aquired some exceptional high quality moderators.  And therein lies the problem...all of them are excellent and we here in Washingon cannot allow you to have all high quality moderators.  You must have diversity and balance in the quality of those people.  Therefore, you have two weeks in order to diversify the quality of your moderators.  If you do not comply we will take appropriate action...and we know where you live."

This sort of concerned Tim for two reasons:  his love of the yankee government and his strong belief in ddiiiivvvveeerrrrrssssiiittttyyyy.  After some sleepless nights and deep thought and soul seaching he came to a solution.  Since many on LTBBQ have Char Broil equipment and things seem to be slowing down on its forum he could start a thread on that but the problem remained as to how to handle the lack of diversity among the moderators.  Then it hit him...he called me and offered me the job.  He explained what it entailed---nothing technical that require knowledge of computers and posting of pictures---in essence I would be a suppository, or did he say depository?,  of information on Char Broil equipment and usage.
After he explained the lack of qualifications for the job, I accepted.  Later, I found out Tim was immediately relieved that he had now solved his dddddiiiiivvvvveeeerrrrsssiiiitttttyyyy problem.  But, he woke up in the middle of the night realizing what may happen to the quality of the site by implementing the yankee government's edict.  Then it hit him...the yankee government didn't say he couldn't put someone in there with this ddddiiiiiivvvvvvveeeeerrrrssssiiiittttyyyy hire that would counterbalance.  Tim then called Tommy with tears in his eyes and sobbing in his voice explaining what the yankee government had made him do and he desperately needed Tommy's help.  Would he ppppllllllleeeeeeaaaassssseeeee be a co-moderator to balance out and protect the future of the site and not let any incorrect information about Char Broil products get out.  Tommy being the great  team player he is readily accepted and promised to keep and eye on me.

So, that is where we are.  Between us, and with help from others here who know what they are talking about, we will attempt to handle any question about the uses and techniques of Char Broil equipment.  Most likely, as with most yankee government mandated ddddddiiiiivvvvvveeeeeerrrrrssssiiiittttty postions,  we won't have much to do.  But, if something does come up we will give an answer and who knows....some of them maybe correct.

Dee

Congrats and Tee could not have picked more "extremely adequate" gentlemen as you two ;)
