Finally ordered an InstantPot
« Reply #-1 on: April 10, 2018, 09:11:42 PM »
I just ordered an 8 quart InstanPot from their on-line store. Used the code INSTANTPOT50 and saved $10.  I don't know if that code is keyed specifically to the 8 quart models but thought I would pass it on.

They are the rage for sure! Look forward to seeing it in action!

Been using a Cuisinart 6 quart for 4 or so years with no problems.  Also a 15 year old+ Kuhn Rikon stove top.  Wanted something larger in an electric and this should do the trick. I first heard about them on this forum.  Lots of IP users there and I had to look it up to see why they were excited about it.     With tax included, the IPduo80 out the door at Target was  $151.21. Called IP and got the code and ordered the IP80Plus for $149.95, no tax or shipping.  Seemed like a good deal.

Put ribs in the smoker and a pot roast in the IP last Sunday. Well, saved the roast for Monday dinner. Came out great.  Super simple!  Just could not resist eating ribs for Sunday night dinner.

YUP!  The IP is pretty sweet. As for the other site, some days busier than others.  I reckon it is cyclic. A lot of folks have been expressing a desire for a phone app via wi-fi and Steve has announced a new controller that should do the trick.  Not available yet but I went to the app store and down loaded the Smokin-it app.  Looks nice!  AND! My newest non-cooking acquisitions are a coil in the brain for an aneurism and a stint in my heart!
