I put my bird in the SRG 55 minutes ago. These are the current Temps. The bottom is thigh the top is breast. It is cooking quickly so I turned it down almost to low. Breast is facing up. Any suggestions what to do to even put the cooking? (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20221124/5a7dc3c302aff9c9216c03d84e8b4aa3.jpg)

I flipped the bird and Temps have evened out a bit. Will wrap wings in foil if needed.

Turkey turned out amazing! So moist and juicy. The honey butter garlic injection was awesome. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20221124/5aefac3df7099c979fee04765817dc9d.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20221124/0c61cfe73345b0274b61de9cfa85d680.jpg)

Best one I've made yet! Just have to get a way for the bird to stand better in the basket.

I foolishly gave away my TBE and SRG several years ago but, if I recall correctly, I used to rig a hook to suspend the turkey in the basket so it would be upright and contained at the same time.
That may not be a totally reliable recollection since I'm old (but not as old as IR2dum) and still in a food coma from yesterday.

I was taught to use the "Tommy ring"at the bottom to help with the cooking evenness. The bird always tilts a little in the basket, but really doesn't effect the cooking.
