Has anyone explored the option of attaching the PBC to its stand permanently, or semi-permanently perhaps? I think it would be handy to be able to lift the cooker, and have the stand come with it, maybe if you have to move it while it's still hot. Liquid nails? But that might melt. Maybe tie it on with some kind of wire?

I would take it to a welder and have them carefully tack weld it on. But, understand by doing so - you have an opportunity to accelerate corrosion. So - clean and paint it well with the correct high temp paint.
But before doing anything...check with Noah or Amber at PBC to be sure you are not creating any problems by attaching it.

I've never used a PBC. In fact, I don't even know that I've seen one. So take this with a tbsp of salt . . .
If you're only concerned about mounting the stand, and, based on Art's pictures, it also looks like you could bolt the stand to bottom of the cooker. You could drill a couple of holes in the stand between each of the horseshoes. Use the stand as a guide to drill matching holes in the bottom of the cooker. Then mount the stand to cooker using some stainless steel nuts and bolts from your favorite blue or orange store.
That would also allow you to remove the stand if there ever was a need.

The dolly is an intriguing idea. Plus it keeps me from drilling holes into my brand new toy. I'm going to look closer at the bottom of the barrel, and see if there's some way to tie into it without drilling into the actual cooking cavity. Maybe there's a "lip" that hangs down the side.
Based on that link, I feel I need to ask if anyone else has had burnt decking under their PBC?

The one that I saw had castor wheels attached to the bottom directly. Left out the stand completely.

That was the main concern from some viewers. As it turns out, I probably didn't even have to cut the hole in the wood under the PBC. It just doesn't get hot enough there to do any damage. Sitting on the deck directly, with no air flow to cool the bottom, might be a problem. I don't have any heat marks on the dolly. My preference was to make it somewhat portable (being able to move it while it was hot, if necessary) and make it affordable (I already had the casters and wood). If I was willing to spend some money, I could have had an all-metal dolly made. As it turns out, I didn't need to.

When the original PBC was released we actually welded the horse shoes on to the bottom. After doing this we realized that it was too high to fit into the back of an suv which is why we decided the removable stand worked best. PBC Co. - Amber
