Bid Easy SRG / Chicken wings
« Reply #-1 on: November 22, 2015, 07:55:03 AM »
Big Easy second cook of wings and potato,  kept the temp turned down toward low and what was amazing was that the the potato was done after 40 minutes and the wings were perfect. Did receive the chicken leg g ate and the cover for the SRG which is well constructed.   :)

Good video and nice cook.    I myself cook wings on HIGH setting cause Kimmie wants crispy skin on her wings.

As for times, that's about normal for the most part so you did real good.   Love using mine in the winter because the cold really does not effect the cooking ability of the SRG.   Now TBE can be another story because there is not solid lid, but that's for another time.

Just remember to stay at lease 3 in's off the bottom of the basket (using half racks) and you will be good for 99% of you cooks

As for the smoker box there are mods for it if it does not work well for you.

Thanks, I'm like a kid with a new toy plan on trying the grill aspect this evening and will also give the smoker box a shot also. I'll post the results  :)

The SRG works well as a grill so have at it.   Also mine get well over 600 degrees so yours should as well.          You can really cook some good steaks on that grate

Take time and search for basket mods too! I used a dremel and cutting wheel to removed the wide band.  I then removed the middle rings in one section of the basket. Now, I can grab and remove food from the side VS the top.

Yes Sir! Just used as a reference as to when it is pre heated and hot. Also a good way to gauge what medium and low is. And works to tell me when I'm out of gas :)
